They market them as being for recreational riders, but you soon discover that most people are treating it like it's the TdF. You end up with a bunch of "racers" forming a peloton, then a mess of solitary "wimps" left in their wake.

Kudos on slowing it down and enjoying it. That's what it's all about, right?Noahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15271155305943176738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-270553056978230950.post-7835638072735030762007-06-23T04:58:00.000-07:002007-06-23T04:58:00.000-07:00Like Apertome, I'm glad you dropped out, too. I'm often more interested in the journey than the destination.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-270553056978230950.post-22075648076258866532007-06-22T14:07:00.000-07:002007-06-22T14:07:00.000-07:00Good for you for going at a slower/more reasonable...Good for you for going at a slower/more reasonable pace. I'm glad you did, and that you were able to get these photos. They are really cool. I especially like the mansions and St. George school -- and some of the road shots are really cool -- especially the rougher roads.

It may sound dumb, but perfectly smooth roads can get a little boring. I sort of like the challenge of rougher roads and the extra character they have. There are limits, of course ...

The older recumbent rider is great, too!

For some reason, when I click on the images in your blog, it asks if I want to save them instead of showing me bigger versions in my browser. The Picasa album was a better way to view them, anyway.Apertomehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00148516503920019073noreply@blogger.com
