Full Moon Fiasco 5

The fifth riding of the Full Moon Fiasco was done a day early. Saturday night when the moon is completely full, would have been a wash because everyone had something to do. Last night (Friday), was the best chance, and such a beautiful night could not go without riding. The weather cooperated offering a 55 degree, calm clear evening.
Bridge to New Bedford, Ma.


Over the bridge into New Bedford before climbing Union St and a ride by the old homestead on 7th. Once on County St. the hammering began with the mansions as backdrops. The traffic was light, the street was wide and we cut loose.

Full Moon Fiasco

FBC Fairhaven held it's third installment of the Full Moon Fiasco. Ironically, during the third full moon since the equinox . Two participants enjoyed the additional benefit of a full "snow moon" eclipse, and the demonstration of Americas' Star Wars system.

The Fiasco Fiasco

The word was out. The Wolf full moon fiasco would leave the rear parking lot of Pub 99 at 8PM. It had rained most of the day but was down to an occasional drizzle by ride time. 8:15 no one had shown. Maybe they were out front. A ride around the perimiter of the pub found no one.

By 8:30 it was obvious that no one was going to show. Again. The long slow ride home, head hanging down, pouted lower lip, seemed colder and wetter that the happier anticipation filled ride to the lot.




Fortunately Avia has a wonderful selection of wines and I happen to have a nice Cabernet in stock. Soon, my sorrows were gone.












TFBC Fairhaven will ride again.
