Prince has been in the town kennel for almost eight months. Being a pit bull is not easy when your looking for a home. Such a sweet dog, Prince was always a favorite of people looking to adopt. A few minutes with him and people melted. Landlords and insurance kept him from being adopted in the past.
We did lots of work with him and the new owners are going to get him "Off leash control certified". We all hope Prince has a great long life. Wifey got to say goodbye. Something she has been wanting to do for months.
Such a great story. We adopted Sasha from a shelter and it was pretty obvious that she had a rough life. We've done a lot of work with her and she's a totally different dog now.
ReplyDeleteI love a happy ending! Wishing Prince a happy life in his new home!
ReplyDeleteThat's just excellent. Pit Bulls do not deserve the rep they have. Owners like Michael Vick do however.
ReplyDeleteSO you guys work with shelter animals also? We work with a local one fostering cats. Pregnant cats is our specialty. Stub our three legged dog just loves kittens.
Very nice story! I'm glad Prince has found a home. We got our youngest dog from a rescue and our other was given to us by a guy who found out he had cancer and was trying to find a home for his GSP who he had rescued. Very cool that you do this...my daughter (17)wants to work with animals, she wants to work for the ASPC.
ReplyDeleteVery cool to do this for Price! Dogs are a great addition to a family as long as they are given the care they need and treated like dogs not little four legged humans. That's a measure they fall short of just like we would fall short of fulfilling their awesome gifts.
